Welcome to my new blog, Park Avenue! I've been wanting to start blogging again for a while now. I follow several blogs (Rachel Rewritten , Aubrey Kinch , Pink Peonies , The Teacher Diva - the list could go on & on) and enjoy reading them- so I have been anxious to start my own fresh, updated space.
My old blog focused mainly on my move to Nashville & upcoming wedding. Chris and I were engaged, so I wanted a space to share the pictures and events of our big day. I slowly drifted away from writing after the wedding was over- focused on our life as newlyweds and then started a new job teaching 3rd grade. Needless to say, my blog lost its way and voice.
Lately, things have been so exciting for me and Chris. We bought our first home last summer, we are taking trips, and we just recently became parents to our fur baby, Louie! I wanted a place to document all of the things going on in our life happenings. Insert new blog idea here.
I love our new home. I have slowly been decorating- thanks to the help of my talented sister who does custom work for homes. I am so proud of how far it has come since last summer. When Chris and I started looking for a home to buy, we knew this neighborhood was at the top of the list- mainly because we loved all the restaurants near by - Local Taco , Caffe Nonna , Park Cafe , Star Bagel, & many others! The charm of the neighborhood is also to die for. I took an afternoon stroll yesterday and snapped some pics to share with you all!
I also love being across the street from the neighborhood park. From the flower gardens, to the tennis courts (I am going to learn how to play someday- who wants to teach me?), and the Farmer's Market that sets up in the park every Saturday- it is one of my most favorite perks of our street!
We have loved our neighborhood so far and look forward to many more years in our first home. Stay tuned for home tours of our cute little cottage. I must warn you though that it is a work in progress- all newlyweds can relate, right? I have several "home projects" in the works right now. Who knows when they will actually be completed. Why can't we just have money trees in the back yard?
I am so excited to start this new blogging adventure. I want to share recipes, photos, classroom ideas for all my teacher friends, and all the little things in between. I hope you will stay a while & follow along! Thanks for reading and happy Monday!
