Ikea Coffee Table Hack

Finding a coffee table at a reasonable price is not easy. I was in the market for a small, round coffee table, but something that still stood out in the room and made a statement (that didn't cost a fortune). Enter Ikea.

I came across this one on their website and for $49.99, I was determined to make it work in my living room. The only thing I wasn't crazy about is the bottom part. Because I planned on spray painting it gold, I thought the bottom part would be a little too much gold.

After doing some research, I figured out that the bottom doesn't have to be added- and I love the look of it without it! Plus, seeing through to the floor makes a coffee table not look so "bulky" in a room and gives the room a more open look.
I pulled the trigger, ordered it, spray painted it gold with Design Masters Brilliant Gold, and just like that I had exactly what I was looking for- except at a much lower price. I love the way it turned out. Let me know what you think! Thanks for reading and have a great Wednesday!
