Venice / Part II

I'm throwin' it back on this Thursday and finally sharing the last of our pictures from Venice. We traveled to Italy last summer, and I have shared bits and pieces of our trip hereherehere, and here. I have SO MANY pics from Venice that I had to break it up into two parts.

Venice is magical. We enjoyed a few days relaxing - walking around shopping and stopping for wine and gelato every hour on the hour - HA! But the other days we stayed pretty busy. There is plenty to see and do in this wonderful city!

We visited St. Mark's Square, St. Mark's Basilica (the most beautiful cathedral I've ever seen), Gallerie dell' Accademia Museum, and the Doge's Palace. We climbed the Capellini Tower that over looks the city, took a day trip to Burano (the most colorful place you ever did see), walked in several churches (because they are just too pretty to miss), enjoyed a gondola ride, took a stroll through their famous fish market, and enjoyed all the food we could get our hands on. I had my most favorite meal of my entire life there - lobster spaghetti! YUM.

Thanks for going down memory lane with me! I so wish I was back there now - walking the quiet streets to dinner with red wine in my hand and my honey by my side. I still have pictures from our time in Florence and Rome to share as well - let's just hope it doesn't take me almost another year to post those. Am I the only one who is really bad about posting pics from a vacation/trip wayyyy after the fact?! Whoops. Thanks for stopping by!
