Christmas Tree Pickin'

When we got married, Chris insisted on one thing - we will get a real Christmas tree every year. I'm from a fake tree lovin' family (nothin' wrong with that..I love our pretty, fake trees), but this tradition was very important to Chris growing up, and now it has become my favorite holiday tradition of ours.

It's the first thing we do together to kick off the holiday season. The day after Thanksgiving, we devote the entire day to the tree - picking it out, bringing it home, and decorating it with all the trimmings. There is something so festive and magical about walking down rows and rows of trees…trying to find the one.

We take our time, examining each and every tree, and I love when we spot it - both giving each other "the look," and Chris saying…"There's our tree!" Christmas tree pickin' is something I look forward to every year - special moments are created and become memories that I never want to forget.

I'm in full Christmas mode now! The house is all decorated (minus the outside), my shopping is almost done, and I've checked a few other things off my holiday to-do list! It's the most wonderful time of the year (!!).

Do you have any holiday traditions that you love? This one is definitely a fun one to add to this list. With a cup of hot cocoa in hand, twinkling lights hanging over trees, and a loved one near… this holiday tradition is hard to beat. Have a wonderful day and thanks for reading!
