Bar Cart Hack
I've always wanted to add a cute little bar cart to our dining room area, and after seeing several Pinterest inspirations, I went with the BYGEL Utility Cart from Ikea. What I love about this cart is that it is so reasonably priced, it's a good size, easy to put together, can be spray painted to fit the color palette of your home, and can be used for so many things: bar cart, extra storage, kids toy cart, coffee station, the ideas are endless!
My dining room has a lot of gold accents, so I decided to spray paint it and went with this gold color - which I love (!!!). Seriously, I use this gold spray paint for everything. I've done picture frames in this color, my coffee table (another Ikea hack), small planting pots for around the house, and even some cheap decorative Christmas trees from Dollar Tree that I wanted to spruce up for my home.
To decorate the cart, I added some of some of our favorite drinking glasses, a few decor pieces, some old wine bottles from special occasions that we've saved - that are now candle holders (great use for wine bottles that are special and you don't want to throw out), and of course, some alcohol to have on hand for cocktails when guest come over or for those Friday night date nights we like to have at home.
This corner has become one of my favorites in our home - I love how the cart turned out and it adds such a decorative touch to our dining room. If you're in the market for a bar cart, the price and flexibility of this one can't be beat! Now to put the cart to use - I think I'll open up that bottle of wine tonight while watching the Bachelor!
World War III might break out in our house tonight because I'm wanting to watch Ben find the girl of his dreams and Chris wants to watch the College Football Championship game. I will not give up my comfy chair or my show. What will you be watching tonight? Thanks for reading!
