Cottage Cozy

We found the cutest little cottage to stay in for our anniversary weekend to Asheville on airbnb - my favorite site to rent a place for a getaway! It was everything we were looking for - private, convenient, cozy, comfortable, and it had a grill and hot tub (two must haves for our time in the mountains). Our anniversary weekend is my favorite weekend of the year (even over my birthday weekend - and I'm a total birthday diva) because it comes at a great time of the year and is always so relaxing.

Our anniversary is the weekend before Christmas, so getting away from the hustle and bustle of the holidays and hiding away in a little place in the woods is always something I look forward to and cherish around the holidays. It is also the most relaxed trip we take of the year - getting out to see a few sights, but mostly staying in and relaxing in the hot tub, throwing some steaks on the grill, and playing a few rounds of scrabble.

We shot these photos on a lazy morning in the cottage before heading out to brunch in downtown Asheville. A comfy sweater, versatile scarf, and slippers are always something I pack for a cozy weekend getaway. This Forever 21 knit sweater has been on repeat for me so far this winter. You can't beat a neutral turtleneck that goes with everything. And the scarf? LOVE! I didn't realize how much I would wear a leopard scarf, but it has been pairing so well with almost everything in my closet lately. I'm so glad I pulled the trigger on it when it went on sale back in November.

Do any of you watch the Bachelor?! If so, who is your favorite for Mr. Ben so far?? I was all about some Olivia on night one, but was very disappointed to see in Monday's episode that is probably going to be the trouble maker this season. I hope you all are having a wonderful week and as always, thanks for reading!
