Our usual "snow days" consist of a dusting and more ice than snow, but this time we got the pretty stuff - white, fluffy snow. Our street looked like a scene out of a movie. I was so happy that Chris was home and not traveling for work so that we could get out and play in the snow - and, of course, snap some pics!
After the pics, throwing a few snowballs, and letting Lou run around in it (you may have seen on Snapchat - @annaleewhite - that he loved it and just wanted to bury his face in it), we decided it would be fun to go to Neighbors for an afternoon happy hour - our TV was out and we were getting a little cabin fever.
We had to walk, so we made a pit stop by our friends' house in the neighborhood, scooped them up and then all walked to the neighborhood bar. We weren't the only ones with this idea - not to mention, it was the only place open in the neighborhood, so everyone was there for the same reason..to get out of the house and have a little fun.
It was definitely a fun way to spend the afternoon - a few beers and the whole neighborhood coming together for the same reason - a snow day. My friend said it best, it's cool how a snow day has a weird way of bringing the community together. People were dancing in the street, talking to strangers, and just having a good time.
How do you like to spend your snow days? I'd love to hear! Although the snow was something to enjoy in my neck of the woods, I know the snow storms can be very dangerous, and I'm praying for those in the northeast! I hope you all have a great week - thanks for stopping by!
P.S. While being snowed in most of the weekend, I finally finished watching all 6 of the Stars Wars episodes, and we went to the theaters yesterday to see the new one - um, WOW. Have you seen it?! I loved it, and now I'm on the edge of my seat for the next one to come out!!
