Walking the Highline

We are back home from New York City, and I'm so excited to be sharing the first of a few NYC posts with you all today! We landed in the Big Apple on Friday morning and spent the day exploring the Chelsea Market - stopping for a yummy lunch and afternoon cocktails. After checking into our hotel and freshening up, we decided to head to The Highline for a sunset walk. If you aren't familiar with The Highline, it originally was an elevated railroad track in the 1930's but has been renovated and now serves as a public park with amazing views of the city. It was a beautiful evening to walk it, and I can only imagine what it looks like in the late spring/summer when all the plants and trees are in bloom!

I recently bought this fringed cardigan (because it was on sale - and still is!), and I'm so glad I did because it was a great travel piece for the plane (as seen here) but can also be styled for an afternoon/evening out! Plus, who doesn't love fringe? You last saw the ruffled white top here, and I wasn't lying when I said it would be on repeat. It's the perfect spring top and is so lightweight and goes with everything. The two made the perfect pair for an evening on The Highline, followed by a dinner date and laughing our boot-ays off at the Comedy Cellar later that night.

I'm home for two days and then repacking for a work trip to Atlanta for an educators conference with some of my school peeps. My spring break is flying by - which means I'm having fun right?! Whoever said "Time flies when you're having fun," they weren't lying. I hope you all are having a wonderful week! Thanks so much for stopping by.
