When Chris and I got married, we committed to having a date night at least once every month. We both love to try to new food and restaurants, plus we wanted to keep the feeling of "dating" each other alive. Sometimes the date nights are at fancy restaurants, and sometimes we end up at our favorite Mexican spot with a pitcher of margaritas, but it's always a fun time and a great way to kick back and focus on each other.
This month, our schedules are crazy busy - with travel five weekends in a row and Chris out of town a few nights a week for work, so we had to improvise and have date night on a week night! We kept it pretty casual and went to one of our favorite neighborhood spots, Park Cafe. It's a date night go-to of ours because it can be as casual or as formal as you want it to be. When we are wanting a more laid back date night, we sit in the bar area and order a bunch of small plates to try together - and they never disappoint!
Since we were keeping the date night pretty casual, I kept my outfit casual with comfy jeans, a lose top, and a a pair of flats. I recently got off the shoulder black top and couldn't be more pleased with it. It's so comfortable, affordable, and I think the ties on the sleeves add the cutest little touch! I've had my eyes on these lace up shoes for quite a while now, but couldn't decide on the color I wanted. After realizing that I definitely needed more black shoes in my closet (especially flats), I decided to pull the trigger on the black lace ups. I am so glad I did - I've been wearing them nonstop. I also need to mention that this crossbody purse is only $28 and comes in a few colors - steal!!
