Well, we survived Halloween night! As I mentioned in this Halloween post, our neighborhood goes all out and approximately a million trick or treaters come out of no where. I bought 5 huge bags of candy to prepare and still managed to run out by 7:00 PM. Every year, I buy one more bag, thinking it will be enough... but it never is. When the candy is gone, I have to turn kids away and quickly dart into my house, lock the doors and turn all the lights off.
I mean, when it's gone, it's gone. Am I right?! Anyway, all in all, it was a fun night.... once we were safely inside, we ate some pumpkin chili (by candlelight so the trick or treaters wouldn't know we were in there) that I had cooking in the crockpot all afternoon. I shared the recipe on Snapchat (annaleewhite), it was so yummy and so easy to make! How was your Halloween night??
I'm taking a break from Talk Tuesday this week to share a fun fall look with you guys and talk about four essentials that you need for your fall wardrobe! Fall is all about layering, and having a versatile white tunic will go a long way. Tunics are great because they can be worn alone with leggings, and they are perfect to throw under your fall jackets and cardigans.
I love the look of leather leggings, and I found the perfect pair for under $30! Leather leggings are a great way to dress up your typical "leggings" look. We all love throwing on a top with leggings, but leather leggings seem to take the look to the next level. I have worn the heck out of this pair, and plan on ordering the same exact pair for this season. When the quality and price are on point, I will keep coming back for more!
Of course, you can't go through fall without a good pair of booties, and these have been my go-to all season! They are the perfect height, and the small slit at the front of the bootie is so flattering with leggings and jeans. I'm also loving the floppy hats for fall, and I love the selection at Forever21 - you just can't beat their prices. Having these simple four things in your closet will create endless possibilities for your fall wardrobe!
