Friday Favorites

Welcoming a new nephew into the world! Hudson Howard Lee was born on November 16th and my family is just overwhelmed with joy - he is pure sweetness!

"On the night you were born, the moon smiled with such wonder, that the stars peeked in to see you, and the night wind whispered, 'Life will never be the same again'."
- Nancy Tillman

So fitting for this week's events! For more inspiration, check out my Pinterest board, Words to Love.

The prettiest winter white cashmere turtleneck for under $100.. great steal for cashmere!!

The cutest sweater dress that I think would make a great outfit for Thanksgiving Day! It is under $60 and comes in 4 colors!

A beautiful faux fur stole for the colder months ahead. I love the color - the perfect creamy white for winter!

The prettiest guest bedroom setup - love the farmhouse style!

A recipe for decadent red velvet brownies. Red velvet was our wedding cake, so I've been looking for a good red velvet cake, brownie, or cookie recipe to bake for our 5 year anniversary next month!

The simplicity of this photo proving that less is more. I love all the whites and simple greenery. It looks so relaxing - I want to be in that bed right now!

Winter is coming.. which means colds and sore throats. I love these natural remedies for when you aren't feeling your best!

A post on holiday stocking stuffers that are easy and practical. Also, with the holiday comes holiday guides from all my favorite bloggers, and I loved this gift guide for the foodie!

Did you catch my post on 10 Ways to Give Back This Season? Tis the season for giving.. so find a way to spread the joy and give back this Christmas!

What a week it has been! For those of you who didn't know, my little sister has been expecting her first child.. and he made his arrival this week! He is three weeks early, so I was in shock when I got the phone call at 6:00 on Wednesday morning that she had gone into labor in the middle of the night. Chris and I immediately got up, packed our bags, and headed to Oxford, MS where she lives. We were there by lunchtime and the baby was born around 3:00 p.m. Mom and baby are both doing well!! He is the cutest little nugget. We were only able to stay one night, but I got in all the cuddles I could for 24 hours. I will see him again next week for Thanksgiving, and I'm already counting down the days! We are back on the road again today, heading to Atlanta for an early Thanksgiving with Chris's family! Although it's been a busy week of travel, I wouldn't have it any other way. We are so blessed to be able to spend time with our families... I love this time of year for that reason! Wishing y'all a wonderful weekend.... what are your plans?? Happy Friday!
