Spring Green

My favorite thing about spring is watching the world come back to life. After a cozy, tucked away winter, it's like the earth wakes up and does a little stretching - slowly getting ready for the hustle and bustle of summer. The birds start singing their morning songs and the sun graces us with its presence just a little longer. Not to mention the pops of color we get from the beautiful blooming flowers and plants. We had a true spring weekend here in Nashville  - with sunny days and a light breeze... it was glorious!

After church on Sunday, we had a kickball game with our church league and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. I haven't played kickball since I was a kid, and I have to say... my inner kid self came out and it was so. much. fun. After kickball we did the typical Sunday errands (Lowes and grocery run... #marriagelife) and arrived back home to see our neighborhood in full spring swing. We live across the street from a park, and the whole neighborhood must have been out there. There were food trucks, little league games being played, picnics being had and dogs everywhere. It made my heart so happy! I love the change of seasons and the happiness they all bring in their own ways.

When I first saw this green military jacket at Madewell, I knew it would be the perfect lightweight jacket for spring. I love the style and fit of it and the color is a great shade of green! Most military jackets are more of a deep olive color, but I love that this one is a little lighter. I also want to mention this $30 white tee that has become my BFF! It is so comfy, and I wear it all the time. I hope y'all have a great Monday (as good as a Monday can be) and thanks for reading!
