Friday Favorites

When I'm in a cooking rut, I love ordering some new cookbooks to inspire me to get back in the kitchen! Since we have been traveling so much lately, I haven't been cooking much, and these new cookbooks have me itching to get back in there to try out some new recipes! I ordered a few healthy cookbooks that I have heard good things about - Whole New YouSuperfood Kitchen, and Oh She Glows Every Day. I also linked a few other health cookbook favorites below!

"I started telling myself that my will live a healthy life is stronger than my cravings."

This has been my motto lately. I have found myself giving into cravings and getting off track of eating healthy way more than I would like. At first, I started with the excuses - I tell myself: We have been traveling, it's hard to eat healthy on the road, I don't have time to meal prep, etc. Have you been there too? It's so easy to let those excuses win, but I'm taking control of my health again (hence the cookbooks I ordered, ha ha)! Ultimately, you have to decide what's more important to you - the cravings, or living a healthy life. I know which one I'd rather have!

It's officially fall, and I couldn't be more excited! The weather in Nashville this weekend is supposed to be true fall weather - you know, the perfect breeze for a light sweater and jeans! Love it. I have been looking for some cozy sweaters for the fall season, and I rounded up some up my favorites - all under $100!

The bedroom of my dreams

A picture that gives me all the fall cozy feels

Happy Friday, y'all! This week has been quite a whirlwind, spending most of it in Louisville for doctor appointments and business meetings for Chris. I am happy to be back home, and I am looking forward to the weekend. We plan on doing all the fall things tomorrow - going to the pumpkin parch to pick up some pumpkins for our front porch and heading to Cheekwood to check out all their fall happenings. I am super pumped to see this pumpkin house and legit want to move in.

Before I sign off for the weekend, I have to say thank you for all your love, support, prayers and encouragement through our IVF journey (in case you missed it, I shared more about that in Monday's post, you can read it here). I am still blown away by how amazing all of you are, and I am so thankful for each message, comment, share, text, and prayer. Love you, mean it.

What are your weekend plans? Anyone else super excited that we are entering a new month? I kinda think October is my favorite month. I love that it's the true beginning of all things fall and the start of the holiday season! Wishing you a wonderful weekend and thanks for reading!
