Friday Favorites

I've been looking for a new set of makeup brushes, and since Beauty Counter is a brand that I love and trust, I recently ordered their Brush Collection and love it! Does anyone else get excited about fresh, clean new brushes as much as me?!

A prayer for when we can't understand:

"Dear Father - Today was one of those days - You know the ones. When life just doesn't make sense. When the world seems so unfair. Because it is unfair. We need you Lord. I need you. I need you to wrap your arms and help me understand that it's a good thing I don't understand everything. How can I possibly comprehend your plan of intricacy and detail for the entire world? You are God. I am not. You spoke the world into existence. You shaped humans from dust. And only you can create beauty from ashes. May I anticipate the exquisite work of your hands to transfer my nothing into your everything. Amen."

This week started off with the most tragic news of fellow Americans being tragically killed. If you're like me and have had a heavy heart because of all the evil in our world, I hope this prayer will speak to you like it did me. Sometimes there are no words and things happen that we will never understand. I am holding tight to the fact that God is love and has overcome evil and the world. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims and their loved ones.

This week has definitely been a sad one. I hated waking up on Monday morning to the awful news of what happened in Las Vegas. The only thing I know to do right now is pray, and I also donated to the GoFund me page listed in the article above. I pray that our country changes soon.

I've been focusing on what really matters this week - spending more time in the Word of God and more time with Chris. We have gone on long walks after dinner and put the phones away some uninterrupted time together. I am looking forward to the weekend, where we will do much of the same.

Wishing you a wonderful weekend and thanks for reading! Xoxo
